Family Promise News

I'm Preparing this during FPC's hosting of Family Promise week. So far the air mattresses seem to be working out fine and it was great not to have to receive and carry beds, right men? So thank you again to those who purchased an air mattresses.

Coming up on April 12th will be a Spaghetti Dinner/Bingo night- proceeds to benefit Family Promise. This event will be co-sponsored by Church Life and Mission commissions. Come out and enjoy an evening of good food, good fun, prizes, and fellowship while lending support to a worthy cause. Bakers will be needed, so expect a call.

Also on the horizon is Family Promise's Day at the Races. On May 3rd, there will be yet another opportunity to support Family Promise by taking a walk or run in the fresh ocean air. This is a Family Promise of Monmouth County fund raiser and has been very successful in the past. Contact our Champion, Laurie McConnell for details.

Presently there are 2 families in the program. Elin and her children have returned to us for another hosting round and new to us are Kiah and Na-Jae. The children are enjoying the new toys and stuffed animals donated in the Wishing Well boxes.

As always, thank you for your generosity shown by the many ways you support Family Promise. God loves a cheerful giver and you exemplify that. Enjoy Spring!
In Christ's Love and Service,

NURSING HOME VISIT -

We had a great visit to The Manor in March. Thank you to the faithful people who support this mission and are always willing to save just one hour once a month to bring a little sunshine into the residents’ lives. Many people really thanked us when we told them we’d be praying for them in church the next day. Isn’t that what it’s about: a reminder that Christ cares, through us.

Next visit: Applewood  April 19th. 2:30 pm

Contact Brian Kovacs at 732- 308-1545

OPEN DOOR Reminder -

and thanks to those who always give!

Please bring one or more cans of food any Sunday, but especially the First Sunday of each month (Communion Sunday), for the hungry of Freehold. Bins are at the back of the Sanctuary & in the Christian Education Bldg. near the kitchen.

The Last Sunday of the month is when we collect change in the Mission Pots for Open Door in gratitude to God for His blessings. Watch for the kids wearing Mission Supporter tags: they’ll ask for your change & give you a reminder card.   Thank you to Derek and Dorothy Munnery for delivering our donations to Open Door!
