Summer Mission Trip 2007 June 24- 29 This past summer many of our church youth embarked into the unknown of Pittsburg, PA. They arrived with 100 other youth and adults and mixed to create 11 crews. Those crews found themselves volunteering at Vacation Bible School programs & nursing homes, painting churches, and doing much needed yard and house work for elderly. Everyday the participants joined for worship, music and small group devotions. After a week of taking freezing cold showers and sleeping on air mattresses, these youth and adults came home with a sense of accomplishment and closeness to God. In the beginning of September these participants shared their experiences with the congregation, enrolling new youth and adults for this summer's mission trip.
These youth are the proud recipients of an award from the Noontime Optimist Club in part of Youth Appreciation Week. The reception and presentation will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 7 pm at the Starr and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, Health Awareness Center (901 W. Main St, Freehold)
