In 2006, we completed a $2million dollar renovation and restoration of our facilities. A Capital Campaign helped us with about 40% of our debt; we are now paying off the remainder. Our monthly payments are -$8300. In order to shorten the length of our Mortgage we have a variety of fundraisers, which include:
TGI FridaysProceeds Night. Once a month, on a designated Thursday, members and friends of the church are invited to dine at the TGIFriday’s on Route 9 South, Freehold. If they tell their server they are from First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 20% of their bill is donated back to the church for the Mortgage Reduction.
Acme Receipts When you shop at ACME, bring your receipts to church, placing them in the box in the Church lobby and the church will receive 1% of your total bill for the mortgage reduction.
Scrip gift cards On the first Sunday of each month, orders are received for Scrip gift cards. A percentage of the cost of the cards is given back to the church. Gift cards are available for most area grocery stores, gas stations, department stores and many other retailers. Order forms are available in the church lobby or through the church office. Orders are delivered the second Sunday of each month.
Spiritwear An assortment of clothing is available with the Presbyterian /First Presbyterian Church of Freehold logo embroidered on them. Through the generosity of Mr. Sew & Sew, a portion of the cost is returned to the church. Order forms are available in the lobbies of both church buildings; samples can be seen in the lobby of the Christian Education Building. Order forms can be printed here.
GOODSEARCH.COM & GOODSHOP.COM - If you use www.goodsearch.com for your websearching, the Church receives at least a penny for every search. In addition, if you shop, using www.goodshop.com, a percentage of your purchases is returned to the church; many retailers are associated with goodshop! Type in First Presbyterian Church of Freehold as your charity.

Our main purpose is to help you with your financial stewardship planning by describing the implications of some of the alternatives with an emphasis on planned giving options.
It is not possible in one short document to discuss everything you need to know about planned giving and which methods would be most advantageous for you as you plan for the future. We strongly recommend that you check with your accountant, attorney, or tax advisor for help in planning or to confirm your plans.
